We all remember “that girl,” Myrna! She’s still in there, informing your life. Let me share some wisdom from “my old ladies” to ease your annoyance at old age: In her hundreds, my friend Marge and I walked down the street and she said, “I still see through 25-year-old eyes but my body feels like it’s 110.” Zelda, another of my centenarians, told me when she was in the last year of her life at 104, “I see now that the first part of life is about making memories, and now I’m so grateful to have all those wonderful memories to review.” And Anne, who is now 98 and needs an aide for the first time in her life, hates “dependency,” but still feels freedom in her mind! Food for thought

Happy birthday, Myrna! I’m an Aries too with a birthday next month. Here’s your NY Post birthday forecast today: You will be on the go from dawn until dusk, and that’s a good thing, as it will make up for all those days you just could not be bothered over the previous 12 months. You’ve spent more than enough time thinking. Now, you must finally start doing.

I love your observation that you don’t feel like a 20-something but you remember that girl! You’re lucky that your birthday is always a sign of spring. Hope you enjoyed your day.

Wishing you a lovely birthday! We are similar in not enjoying our birthdays and being anxious about entertaining. I’ve worked on being the opposite for many years, but maybe just need to accept I’m this way. Gratitude is a helpful counterbalance, and it seems you do embrace that. Hope you have a joyful year ahead. 💜

Also an Aries, the best! Enjoyed this. Best thing about a birthday is being able to appreciate it!

I think we’d be friends. We write alike, think alike, used to be “that girl.” And we still have our marbles. (Many, many subscribers will come. Just keep writing and don’t watch the pot too much.)

I'd say "happy" birthday, but then you'd think I hadn't read what you'd written!

Recommend lifting weights especially at your age! What a role model you would continue to be; and taking swimming stroke technique lessons. Combined with weight lifting you will feel stronger walking; or just lift weights.

73, but feeling 37, except for the fact that I'm always taking care to prevent a fall.
